The Elevate Grant awards up to $5,000 to Alabama nonprofits providing workforce development and wraparound services.
Applications for Elevate Grants are accepted from February to October or until funds are depleted. Applications are reviewed monthly based on volume of grants received.
How we’d like to see Elevate Grants used
Elevate Grants are open to Alabama nonprofits working to enhance workforce development and provide wraparound services to better serve communities.
To qualify, your organization must:
- Be a registered nonprofit (awards are paid directly to the nonprofit)
- Demonstrate sound fiscal management and accountability
- Show the ability to attract multiple sources of support for the project
Grant funding may be used to support workforce development programs, wraparound services that remove barriers to success, or organizational capacity building.
Funding limitations: Up to $5,000 per grant. Organizations are limited to one Workforce Development grant per project.

How to Apply
Ready to get started? Here's what to prepare before beginning your online application.
You'll need to provide:
- Organization name, address, and EIN/Tax ID number
- Primary contact name, email, and phone number
- A brief summary of your organization's history, mission, and staff size
- A complete list of your board of directors and/or trustees
- A one-paragraph summary of the project or program the grant will support
- A list of other contributors or partners for the project, with dollar amounts
You'll need to attach:
- Project budget with an evaluation plan and specific criteria for measuring effectiveness
- Most recent audited financial statement or three consecutive years of Form 990
- Current operating budget
- Section 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter
