Home Forward Grants
Providing funding for eligible low-income homeowners for weatherization and energy efficiency improvements. Local Community Action Agencies manage applications and funding to reduce energy costs by covering upgrades such as insulation, air sealing, and HVAC improvements.
Who is eligible for Home Forward Grants?
Eligible applicants must be qualifying homeowners in an ABC Trust service county with household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. The Home Forward Grant provides up to $6,500 for weatherization improvements.
- A member of the household must own the residence.
- Applicant must have a valid Social Security card and identification, such as a driver’s license.
- Applicant must provide documentation showing combined gross household income of 200% of the federal poverty guideline or less.
- Household must be in a county served by the ABC Trust.

Apply for a Home Forward Grant through a Community Action Agency
Community Action Agencies solicit applications from families and screen applications for the ABC Trust. Applications are reviewed quarterly by a selection committee.
